Ukraine has handed over its memorandum to Russia, and now Moscow has at least four days to hand over its document with proposals for a ceasefire. This was stated by Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov on his Facebook page, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
He handed the head of the Russian delegation a document that reflects Ukraine’s position on the ceasefire.
“We confirm Ukraine’s readiness for a complete and unconditional ceasefire and further diplomatic work. We are not against meetings with the Russians and are waiting for their “memorandum” so that the meeting is not empty and can really bring the end of the war closer,” he said.
According to him, the Russian side now has at least four more days to submit its proposals to Ukraine.
“The Russian side has at least four more days before the departure to pass their document to us for processing,” the minister said.
He reminded that earlier the Russian side had promised to hand over the “memorandum” immediately after the exchange.
“We call on the Russian side to immediately fulfill this promise and stop trying to make the meeting destructive. Diplomacy must be meaningful, and the new meeting must have a result,” he emphasized.
