“Ukrenergo introduces power restrictions for business and industry: details

Today, on November 13, Ukrenergo is temporarily limiting the power supply capacity for business and industrial consumers. This was reported by Komersant ukrainskyi with reference to Ukrenergo.
This is due to a short-term decrease in the capacity of shunting generation and a significant decrease in imports, Ukrenergo explained. The restrictions will be in effect from 7:00 to 20:00.
“In the evening, after the remarks to the equipment are eliminated, the restrictions will be canceled. There are no restrictions for household consumers,” the statement said.
Ukrenergo called for rational use of electricity, especially during peak consumption hours. Businesses were urged to import electricity more actively for their own needs.
Ukrenergo emphasized that consumption remains high. Today, November 13, as of 6:30 a.m., its level was 1% higher than at the same time the previous day – on Tuesday, November 12.
Yesterday, November 12, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the evening. It was 1% higher than on the previous business day, Monday, November 11.
It should be noted that due to the deficit in the power system in Prykarpattia, power curtailment schedules have been introduced since November 13.
What Ukrenergo reported the day before
The company’s message emphasized that consumption shows an upward trend.

Ukrenergo reminded that the Ukrainian power system continues to recover from nine massive Russian attacks. Emergency and scheduled repairs are underway at power facilities. During the peak consumption hours in the morning and evening, the power grid remains in a significant power deficit.
Ukrainians were urged to consume electricity sparingly throughout the day.
As explained by the Energoreforma information and analytical portal, in case of a power shortage, all domestic resources, electricity imports, emergency assistance from neighboring countries are used to balance the power system, and when these measures are exhausted, power reduction schedules for industry and then hourly power outage schedules for the population are used.
