Ukrenergo: power outage schedules will be in effect in all regions from 14:00 to 21:00

26 November 12:50

Electricity consumption in Ukraine continues to grow due to the drop in temperature. In addition, as a result of a massive drone attack last night, emergency blackouts were introduced in the Ternopil region, and the previous schedules for applying restrictive measures are not currently in effect. This was reported by Ukrenergo, Komersant ukrainskyi reports

Power engineers have already begun restoration work to restore stable power supply in the region as soon as possible, but ask consumers across the country to use energy efficiently, Ukrenergo said.

It is noted that today, November 26, as of 6:00 a.m., the level of energy consumption was 5% higher than at the same time on the previous day – on Monday.

“This is due to the persistence of frosty weather in most regions throughout the day. In order to balance the power system, hourly blackouts were in effect in all regions from 7:00 to 10:00 and will be applied from 14:00 to 21:00,” the statement said.

Power engineers remind that the Ukrainian power system is still recovering from ten massive Russian attacks, and there is a significant power shortage. Emergency and scheduled repairs are underway at power facilities.

In addition, as of the morning of November 26, 38 settlements in two regions remained without electricity due to severe weather conditions: 35 in Chernihiv region and three in Sumy region. Emergency repair works in these regions are ongoing.

On the night of November 26, Russian troops attacked Ternopil. After the attack, the city experienced problems with electricity and water supply.
