Today, 14 September, the weather will deteriorate in Ukraine. Thunderstorms and squalls will hit a number of regions. This was reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Centre.
In the western, Vinnytsia and Odesa regions, it will be cloudy, with moderate to heavy rains at night and thunderstorms during the day, with temperatures of 13-18° at night and 18-23° during the day; in the Carpathians and Transcarpathia, heavy rains will be expected throughout the day, with temperatures of 11-16°.
During the day, there will be heavy rains and thunderstorms in the western regions, Vinnytsia and Odesa. Hazard level I, yellow, has been declared.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy weather, no precipitation, only light rain at night in most northern and central regions; temperatures at night will be 14-19°, during the day 24-29°, and up to 31° in the southeast.
The wind in Ukraine will be mostly southeast, 7-12 m/s, with gusts of 15-20 m/s in some places on the Left Bank and in the western regions.
Forecasters have warned of dangerous meteorological phenomena in western Ukraine, as well as in Vinnytsia and Odesa regions.
Heavy rains are expected in the Carpathians and Transcarpathia on Saturday. Hazard level II, orange, has been declared.
