Ukrainian strongman sets Guinness World Record: video

Ukrainian athlete Pavlo Kordiyaka, who was recognized as the strongest man in Europe in 2023, has entered his name into the Guinness Book of Records. He told about it on Instagram, Komersant ukrainskyi reports
the 29-year-old Ukrainian got into the Guinness Book of Records by performing the fastest exercise with logs. Strongman Pavlo Kordiaka set the world record during the Night of Records TV show in Milan.
The Ukrainian lifted five logs weighing 100 to 180 kg one by one over his head at speed. He completed the exercise in 37.68 seconds.
Kordiyaka also confirmed on his social media that he had received a certificate confirming the record.

Pavlo Kordiyaka is a Ukrainian strongman, titled strongman, winner of the title “The Strongest Man of Ukraine 2020”, absolute champion of Ukraine in 2019, 2020, world champion in the Loglift 2019 and winner of the World Strongman Games Uzbekistan 2019. In 2023, he won the title of “The Strongest Man in Europe”.

Biography
Born on July 2, 1995 in Lviv. He studied at the secondary school №99, where he showed an interest in sports since childhood. He was involved in football, acrobatics and dancing.
After graduating from school, he entered the Ivan Bobersky Lviv State University of Physical Culture, choosing the Faculty of Physical Rehabilitation.
on April 2, 2023, Pavlo Kordiaka became the winner of the Strongest Man in Europe 2023, scoring 57.5 points in the final standings.
Career in strongman
He started training in strongman in 2014. In 2014 and 2015, he participated in the Ukrainian Championships in the category up to 110 kg.
2017 – 5th place in the over 110 kg category.
2018 – 2nd place in the Ukrainian Championship.
2019 – finalist of the Arnold World Amateur Strongman Championship (Columbus, Ohio) in the 105 kg category.
2019 – world champion in the Loglift.
2019 – winner of the World Strongman Games Uzbekistan.
2020 – “The Strongest Man of Ukraine”.
2023 – winner of the Strongest Man in Europe.
Pavlo Kordiaka remains one of the most titled Ukrainian strongmen, representing Ukraine at international competitions and continuing his sports career.
