Ukrainian military captured a citizen of Senegal

Soldiers of the 49th separate assault battalion “Carpathian Sich” captured an African mercenary from Senegal.

This was reported on the battalion’s page, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.

He was captured during the fighting in the Toretsk sector.

Already in captivity, he said that he had been studying in Russia for two years. The military say that the prisoner wanted to leave Russia for Germany, but he was told to go to the front to earn money, and only then could he leave.

Before he was taken prisoner, the Senegalese man said he thought the Ukrainian military wanted to shoot him. However, the military only told him to follow them.

During the examination, he was found to have minor injuries. He was provided with all the necessary assistance. Later, the Senegalese man said that he no longer wanted to go to Europe, but wanted to go home, and that Russia was, in his opinion, “bad, very bad.”
