the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade has launched an offensive in the Kharkiv region. This was reported by Komersant ukrainskyi
with reference to the official Telegram channel of the of the brigade.
As a result of the counterattack, the brigade took control of the occupiers’ battalion defence area, enemy platoon and company strongholds and advanced almost two square kilometres into the frontline.
“The main task of the operation was to bring down the offensive potential of the 20th Russian Army. At the moment, this task has been accomplished,” said Colonel Andriy Biletsky, the brigade’s commander.
Despite the fact that the ratio of forces on the battlefield is 2.5 to 1 in favour of the enemy, the Ukrainian military inflicted significant losses on the Russian Armed Forces. Over the course of 4 days, the enemy lost 300 personnel in manpower. A significant amount of equipment and weapons was destroyed or damaged.
“The uniqueness of the operation was that we attacked the superior enemy and won. The success depended on detailed planning, non-standard solutions, coordinated work of artillery, air defence, air defence systems and intelligence. But the heroes of the battlefield were tankers, sappers, scouts and, above all, attack aircraft,” the brigade commander explained.
He added that the assault operations diverted the enemy’s attack from the direction of Makiivka and relieved tension in other critical areas of the front in the areas of neighbouring brigades.
