Ukrainian robots are preparing to “conquer” space. Together with NASA

The Ukrainian company DroneUA has started cooperation with the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). This was announced by the Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.

It is noted that the first test batch of equipment has already been sent to Virginia (USA), where tests will be conducted and the optimal application areas of solutions will be determined.

The Ukrainian company considers it particularly important that NASA initiated the partnership with DroneUA, thus recognizing the high efficiency and potential of Ukrainian developments.

“We have always seen our mission as creating game-changing technologies, and cooperation with NASA is just the beginning. Testing our solutions in the US paves the way for a systematic partnership with NASA,” said DroneUA co-founder and managing partner Valeriy Yakovenko.

According to him, this is proof that innovations created in Ukraine are changing the world.

What else does DroneUA do?

In the Ukrainian and Eastern European markets, DroneUA is the largest importer and distributor of the world’s leading drone manufacturers and represents technological solutions from XAG, EcoFlow, Pix4D, Parrot, Chasing, DroneDeploy, AgroCares, and other brands.

The group of companies has its own engineering, production, and service divisions, as well as an open data center. The technological solutions presented by DroneUA, for example, are used on more than 4 million hectares of sown areas in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian company entered the US market a year ago, in July 2023.

Last August, DroneUA founder Valeriy Yakovenko announced that his company had won the largest government contract in its history with the United States. According to him, DroneUA managed to win the tender, which included large corporations, a team from Mexico, and three American companies, each of which employs thousands of workers.

In early February, DroneUA officially registered its trademark in the United States.

DroneUA is a resident of Diia.City.

The Diia.City community already has more than 1,500 companies

“Diia.City is a government initiative that offers a special tax regime for Ukrainian technology companies.

In 2024, Diia.City residents paid over UAH 18 billion in taxes. This is almost twice as much as in 2023, when the amount was 8.5 billion. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation Oleksandr Borniakov.

According to him, more than 1,520 Ukrainian and international companies are registered in Diia City. They employ more than 96 thousand IT specialists, which is almost a third of the industry.
