Ukrainian educators and scientists get free access to leading scientific databases

Ukrainian higher education and research institutions will have free access to leading scientific databases and platforms by 2025. This was announced by the Ministry of Education and Science, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.

Reportedly, thanks to the support of international partners, access to:

– Web of Science and analytical tools from Clarivate;

– ScienceDirect, Scopus and Researcher Discovery, SciVal and Funding Institutional from Elsevier;

– Research4Life collections (Scopus, Hinari, AGORA, ARDI, GOALI, OARE)

– Resources and journals, including Open Publishing from Bentham Science;.

Google will help students start their careers

The free cloud training program for higher and vocational pre-higher education institutions of Ukraine is called “Google Cloud for Students: A Confident Career Start”. The program provides the necessary knowledge and practical skills to work with Google Cloud in the areas of generative artificial intelligence, data analysis, cybersecurity, cloud engineering, etc. Google is opening registration for the second semester of this free program. Its participants will receive

– free access to the Google Cloud Skills Boost platform during the program period;

– the opportunity to integrate the program into the curriculum of educational institutions;

– technical and organizational support for educational institutions throughout the program;

– google Cloud training resources and materials;

– access to recordings of workshops conducted by Google experts and leaders of the Ukrainian IT industry;

The curriculum combines materials developed by Google Cloud experts and teachers and enables institutions to integrate advanced Google Cloud technologies into the educational process.
