Ukrainian “mavics” have clearly shown what they are capable of

“Shmavik and PTAKH-S were the names given to the first domestic Mavic. They have passed the first flight tests. This was reported by the Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.
Eight development teams demonstrated their products for representatives of the General Staff, the Unmanned Systems Forces Command, the Logistics Forces Command, government procurement officers, and military units.
This was followed by six flight demonstrations. During them, each team had to complete a task – a 10 km flight at an altitude of over 250 meters and a target search.
Among these products were the first two codified Ukrainian drones with tactical and technical characteristics of the Chinese Mavic – Shmavik and PTAKH-S.
“We saw the first demonstration flights of Ukrainian Mavic drones. It’s an inexpensive, functional, easy-to-operate drone. And most importantly, it is produced domestically, which, firstly, makes us more independent of foreign supplies, and secondly, keeps money in the country,” emphasized Minister for Strategic Industries Herman Smetanin.
