Ukrainian is in price: which agricultural products from Ukraine are in greatest demand in the world

Sales of Ukrainian agricultural products abroad reached almost 5.5 million tons in March, with corn and sunflower oil being the most popular commodities. This was reported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.
With the country’s total exports of 3.6 billion USD, the share of agricultural products amounted to 2.1 billion or 58%. Compared to March 2024, there is an increase in the value of exports by 87 million USD or 4%.
What are the key agricultural exports?
Corn again became the record holder in March. It was the most exported commodity from Ukraine in January-February and remains at this position in March.

Corn – 514 million dollars. USD/2.4 million tons
Sunflower oil – 503 mln USD/441 thsd tonnes. USD/441 thousand tons
Wheat – 254 mln USD. USD/1.1 million tons
Soybeans – 150 million dollars. USD/370 thousand tons
Poultry meat – 95 mln. USD/41 thousand tons.
How much Ukrainian agricultural products were bought for
The average export prices for the main commodities in March 2025 per ton were as follows:
Corn – 215 dollars. US DOLLARS,
Sunflower oil – 1 141 USD/ton. USD PER TON,
Wheat – 225 dollars. USD, WHEAT – 225 USD,
Soybeans – 407 USD. US DOLLARS,
Poultry meat – 2,300 USD. USD.
Such price conditions on world markets contributed to an increase in the value of Ukrainian agricultural exports.
There has also been an increase in exports of certain types of processed foods. In particular, compared to March 2024, exports of bakery products increased by 24% (to USD 29.5 million, plus USD 7.7 million), butter – by 254% (to USD 9.87 million, plus USD 7.3 million), and cheeses – by 32% (to USD 5.3 million, plus USD 1.4 million).
Where is the greatest demand for the products of Ukrainian farmers?
In March, the main trading partners of Ukraine were:
Turkey (270.8 mln USD),
Italy (171.1 million USD),
Spain (170.4 million USD),
Egypt (USD 162.4 million),
The Netherlands (USD 121.6 million).
In total, 36 countries imported Ukrainian agricultural products in the amount of more than USD 10 million each. USD each.
Ukrainian food is also expected in the most vulnerable countries of Africa, Asia and the Middle East
As of March 2025, Ukraine has delivered more than 280 thousand tons of food as part of the humanitarian initiative of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy called Grain from Ukraine. This was announced by Vitalii Koval, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
In particular, 415.9 tons of vegetable oil were sent to Mozambique, 553 tons of wheat flour to Palestine, and 4,400 tons of wheat flour to Syria. According to the World Food Program, the supply to Syria will provide food for over 59,000 Syrians for six months.
The total amount of funding for this year’s deliveries amounted to USD 331 million. Funding for the program is organized in the format of rounds. The current, third round has raised $35.5 million in confirmed funding from 29 donor countries.
The next stage of deliveries, with $18.8 million in funding from Canada, Sweden, Portugal and Spain, will be sent to Bangladesh, Chad, Mozambique, Pakistan and Syria.
As a reminder, Grain from Ukraine is an international humanitarian program launched in 2022 at the initiative of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Its goal is to supply Ukrainian food to the most vulnerable countries in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East with the financial support of donor countries and in coordination with the World Food Program. Despite its name, the program covers not only grain crops but also other food products, including vegetable oil and flour. So far, 15 countries have received food aid under the initiative.
