Ukrainian woman flies into space with Virgin Galactic for $450,000 (PHOTOS)

A native of Odesa, Lina Borozdina, who now lives in the United States, is preparing for a suborbital flight on a Virgin Galactic spacecraft, according to

The flight is scheduled for 26 January and will take off from the Spaceport America in New Mexico, USA.
“Four private astronauts from three different countries will go into space on Virgin Galactic’s sixth commercial space flight,” the statement said,

The astronauts are citizens of the United States, Ukraine, and Austria.
Lina, who has been preparing for this event for a long time, shared her impressions and photos in a special flight suit on her Facebook page.
“After almost 18 years of waiting, it was my turn to fly Virgin Galactic,” she wrote,

Her costume features the symbols of Ukraine and the United States.
According to the plan, Virgin Galactic’s VSS Unity aircraft will lift the ship into the air, after which it will separate and use its engines to reach the boundary between the Earth’s atmosphere and outer space. During this flight, which will last about 90 minutes, passengers will be in a state of zero gravity.
The ticket price for this flight is $450,000.
This flight is part of Virgin Galactic’s commercial spaceflight programme, which successfully completed its first commercial flight earlier in 2023.
