Ukrainian Fashion Week (UFW) is launching a new socially important program “Clothing with a Function” in the FW25-26 season, designed to develop the adaptive fashion trend in Ukraine. The initiative responds to the growing need for specialized clothing for people with combat injuries and traumas, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.

“The war has plunged us into a reality in which the design of adaptive clothing is becoming one of the industry’s priorities. We live in a country where inclusiveness is our responsibility, our need, our new normal,”

– emphasizes Iryna Danylevska, co-founder and CEO of Ukrainian Fashion Week.

Adaptive clothing takes into account the special needs of people with injuries to their hands, eyes, legs, or those who use prostheses and aids. According to the organizers, such clothing should not only be functional, but also provide users with independence and confidence in everyday life.
