Ukraine plans to resume electricity exports from 25 August. This was reported by Komersant ukrainskyi with reference to information from Ukrenergo.
The company explains that Ukraine has completed the repair of another nuclear power unit, and that electricity consumption has decreased due to the heat wave, which has helped stabilise the situation.
Exports will take place only during periods of surplus. During periods of maximum consumption, when there is insufficient capacity in the power system, exports will not be carried out.
Electricity from Ukraine will be exported to neighbouring countries: Romania, Hungary and Moldova.
“Tomorrow, an auction will be held for access to interstate crossings in the directions of Romania, Hungary and Moldova. This will help avoid restrictions for Ukrainian electricity producers,” the company said.
