Ukraine and NATO countries to meet at an emergency meeting
22 November 18:03Ukraine has initiated a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council to be held on November 26. This was stated by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga during a briefing on November 22, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.
The meeting is being convened because of Russia’s intercontinental ballistic missile strike on the Dnipro River. It is to be held at the ambassadorial level.
“Until then, we will try to collect the evidence as much as possible, to conduct the necessary research to present our vision to the allies in a more substantive way, our assessments of both the consequences and the nature of the weapon that was used to launch this strike,” Sibiga said.
He added that the focus will also be on strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities and air shield.
As a reminder, on November 21, Russia attacked the Dnipro River. Initially, the Ukrainian Air Force wrote that the occupiers had used an intercontinental ballistic missile.
However, later, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin himself said that Russia had struck the Dnipro region with a medium-range Oreshnik missile system.
He noted that Russia allegedly launched a combined strike on a Ukrainian defense facility in response to the strikes by American and British weapons on Russia.
According to him, the Southern Machine-Building Plant was struck with a non-nuclear hypersonic ballistic missile.
The Russian dictator emphasized that the Kremlin “considers itself entitled to use weapons against the facilities of those countries that allow the use of their weapons against Russian facilities.”
