Ukraine joined the European Alliance of National Startup Associations
28 November 08:49The Ukrainian Startup Fund has joined a European initiative that brings together countries that create the best conditions for startup development. This was reported by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.
As noted, the European Alliance of National Startup Associations (ESNA) includes 26 EU countries, Iceland, and Ukraine. The European Alliance will support the development of Ukraine’s startup ecosystem through the implementation of 8 key standards, including access to finance, innovative regulatory approaches, and enhanced international cooperation.
Participation in ESNA creates new opportunities for the development of Ukrainian startups:
– exchange of experience and best practices with European partners,
– international support – our startups will receive assistance in attracting investments for scaling, participation in grant programs and networking,
– integration into the European market – now it will be even easier to enter the global arena thanks to the partnership with other ESNA members.
The membership of the Ukrainian Startup Fund in ESNA will contribute to the development of our startup ecosystem and strengthen the economy through innovation.
What is known about the Ukrainian Startup Fund
It is a state institution that helps innovative projects and technology startups raise funds at the early stages and launch their own projects. According to the Fund’s website, it is a driver of the startup ecosystem, provides conditions for the growth of the sector, forms a positive investment image of the Ukrainian tech industry abroad, and represents Ukrainian innovative solutions around the world.
Established in 2018 at the initiative of the Minister of Finance of Ukraine. Since 2023, it has been managed by the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
Among the startups funded by the Fund:
“Bees Against Mines” – a system for searching and identifying mines and unexploded ordnance (UXO) in areas with a large amount of metal fragments, which processes the signal with a 1-second delay.
3DLOOK is a developer of a virtual fitting room for online stores.
12Climb is an interactive climbing wall with thousands of routes controlled by a smartphone, as well as an app that allows you to track your workouts.
4comfortshoes is an online shoe fitting service for retailers and shoe manufacturers. Based on the customer’s feet, the service determines the parameters and selects the most comfortable shoes for them.
A.D.A.M. is a biotechnology company that specializes in 3D bioprinting with a focus on bone implants.
ActiveChat is a service for creating virtual assistants that allows businesses to create chatbots or search tools on their websites.
Ademrius is a web platform that allows to automate the work of medical institutions through the introduction of online appointments and electronic patient records.
AdMarket is a marketplace in the field of offline advertising that helps businesses manage advertising campaigns by introducing technological innovations in the processes of search, planning and buying.
