Ukraine has nationalised the assets of sanctioned Russian oligarch Eduard Khudaynatov, reports, citing the SBU press service.

His share in the authorised capital of Alliance-Ukraine Oil Company LLC was transferred to state ownership. The asset is valued at almost half a billion hryvnias, according to the SBU.

“According to the investigation, Khudainatov controlled the Ukrainian oil trader through a number of offshore companies and controlled entities. In this way, he hoped to avoid nationalisation of this asset after the full-scale invasion of Russia, while continuing to receive significant profits from the oil and gas market of Ukraine,”

– the SBU said in a statement.

The investigation also found that Khudaynatov is Putin’s confidant, heads the Russian oil and gas company NNK-Group and was a member of the Rosneft board of directors.

These two companies are among the largest “sponsors” of the war against Ukraine, the service claims. In particular, they regularly supply fuel to the Russian army and transfer billions of rubles to the Russian budget.
