“The command of the National Guard of Ukraine had previously developed algorithms of actions and issued all the necessary orders to act under the threat of air strikes, as well as to prevent violations of security measures and the accumulation of personnel,” the agency emphasized.
As part of the investigation, the commander of the military unit has already been suspended, and all the collected data has been transferred to law enforcement agencies. It is known that decisions will be made based on the results of a full investigation into the circumstances of the tragedy.
“The investigation will provide a legal assessment of the actions of all persons who made the relevant decisions. The National Guard of Ukraine will provide all necessary information and assistance,” the NGU said.
The National Guard also expressed its condolences to the families and friends of the killed and wounded soldiers.

As a reminder, the tragedy occurred when the personnel were conducting training exercises at a training ground near the border with Russia.
The Russians claim that the Iskander strike allegedly killed up to 70 soldiers, including 20 instructors, as well as an ammunition depot and 10 pieces of equipment.
This tragedy has led to sharp criticism from Ukrainian politicians, who call the incident a crime and demand an immediate investigation and punishment of those responsible.
This is not the first time that Russian missiles have hit military concentrations near the front line.
