The TCC explained which of the men could be detained on the street in January

In January 2025, in the context of the extension of martial law and general mobilization, every man liable for military service in Ukraine is required to have the necessary documents with him. Representatives of the Lviv Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support (TSC and SP) told in which cases a person liable for military service can be detained on the street to check documents and what requirements apply to mobilization measures, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.
The CCC emphasized that it is men aged 25 to 60 who are obliged to carry military registration documents.
Military registration documents can be in both paper and electronic form. The main thing is that the documents must contain up-to-date information about the owner.
If during the inspection a person does not have the relevant documents or the data has not been updated, the National Police officers have the right to detain the person liable for military service and bring him to the TCC.
“If there are no such documents, the National Police of Ukraine has the right to detain a person liable for military service until their status is established. They can also take them to the CMC and JV, where they will be served with a summons, fined or set a date to clarify their military registration data,” the statement said.

In addition, the Lviv Regional Military Commissariat reminded that persons liable for military service who have not yet updated their military registration data face a fine of up to UAH 25.5 thousand, which, if received, must be paid within 15 days.
After paying the fine, it will still be necessary to go through the procedure for updating military registration data. And in the absence of payment or information about appealing the decision, the case file will be transferred to the executive service for enforcement.
As a reminder, more than 21 thousand proceedings for violations of military registration were recorded in Ukraine in 10 months of 2024. This is already twice as many as in all of 2023.
As part of the enforcement of a transaction, the executive service imposes an arrest – a resolution is adopted to seize the debtor’s property (funds) or to inventory and seize it.
