Air quality indicators in Ternopil and nearby villages have returned to normal. This is stated in the report of the Ternopil Regional Administration, Komersant ukrainskyi reports
“On the morning of 22 August, employees of the Ternopil Regional Centre for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine measured air quality in different parts of Ternopil. As of 8:00 a.m., the concentration of chlorine and hydrochloric acid in the air is below the norm,” the EMA said.
There is no threat to the life and health of Ternopil residents, according to the regional administration.
As a reminder, on the night of 20 August 2024 , the Russian military attacked Ukraine with kamikaze drones. During the air raid, explosions were heard in some regions, including Ternopil. In the morning, Ternopil Mayor SerhiyNadalurged residents to close their windows, as the smell of burning could be felt in the air.
According to the regional military administration, the enemy attacked an industrial facility.
After the Russian attack on the industrial facility in Ternopil region, the chlorine content in the air was 4-10 times higher.
