SBU tells about the fate of traitor administrators exposed in Telegram

SBU cyber specialists monitor the information space 24/7 to detect destructive content and pro-Russian propaganda. If found, they block it. This was the response provided by the SBU to a request from Komersant ukrainskyi.
The Security Service of Ukraine notes that certain Telegram channels that spread dangerous information are blocked directly by the platform itself in accordance with its declared policies. However, the agency is taking additional measures to counter Russian propaganda.
“The SBU has repeatedly exposed, in particular, administrators of telegram channels who illegally disseminated information about the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In many cases, the exposed persons plead guilty, cooperate with the investigation and remove destructive content on their own,” said Artem Dekhtyarenko, Head of the SBU Office
As a reminder, the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting expressed hope that Telegram messenger may be blocked in Ukraine due to the risks associated with it. According to a post on the agency’s website on October 9, the danger of using this popular messenger has been discussed for more than a year.
In order to protect proprietary information, the National Council employees were banned from using Telegram on their work devices and a special procedure for accessing the messenger was introduced.
“The main task is to protect not so much employees who are informed in detail about Telegram’s shortcomings in the course of their duties, but rather proprietary information,” the National Council added
The agency emphasized that Telegram cannot be used on devices where proprietary information is created, processed and stored, and that a separate network is being developed to analyze content in this messenger.
The National Council expressed hope that the current state of counteracting the risks associated with the use of Telegram by government agencies is intermediate, and in the near future the messenger will be completely blocked in Ukraine, as it was with Odnoklassniki, VKontakte and the services of Yandex and Mail.ru.
