New US President Donald Trump’s statement about plans to export more oil and gas could “break Muscovy’s legs.” Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, wrote about this in Telegram, Komersant ukrainskyi reports

During his inaugural speech, Trump said he would declare an energy emergency and introduce a program of intensive energy drilling.

“We’re going to drill, baby, we’re going to drill. America is going to be a manufacturing country again,” Trump assured.

According to him, the state of emergency in the energy sector will allow for the extraction of energy resources, including oil and gas.

“America will be a producing country again. We have something that other producers don’t have – the largest oil and gas reserves, and we will use them,” he said.

Trump promised to lower prices, fill strategic reserves and export American energy resources around the world.

“Trump’s message that the United States will export its own energy around the world (oil, gas) should have ‘especially pleased’ Putin – even more than unknown drones on refineries,” he wrote.

Kovalenko believes that “this is exactly what can break Muscovy’s clay feet – strikes on the energy sector, which provides investment in the war.”

On January 20, Donald Trump took the oath of office and became the 47th president of the United States.

The politician traditionally swore to faithfully fulfill the duties of the presidency and defend the US Constitution.

The inauguration was attended by Joe Biden, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama. Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, and Sam Altman were also present.
