A fire broke out on the Sumy-Kyiv train: a railroad worker died

On Friday, April 18, a fire broke out on the Sumy-Kyiv train No. 115 near Putivl station. A railroad worker died as a result of the accident. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia.
According to UZ, the fire occurred near the Putivl station in the town of Buryn, Sumy region. A railroad worker died in the fire in the car, and no passengers were injured.
The fire is currently localized and the cause is being investigated. The train continues to move to Kyiv without the four uncoupled cars.
According to the State Emergency Service, one of the cars of a passenger train caught fire in the town of Buryn. The fire probably started while the train was moving.
The passengers tried to extinguish the fire with fire extinguishers, but when the fire gained strength, they turned to rescuers.




It is noted that all passengers were transferred to free seats in other cars.
