The Ministry of Defense has found a way to provide stable feedback to the military

6 November 15:21

Four surveys in three months on the Army app seem to provide effective feedback and allow military leaders to find out the opinion of the military on various important and sometimes controversial issues. Today, a new survey has been launched in the Army, this time concerning the change of service location. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense, Komersant ukrainskyi informs.

“The Ukrainian Defense Forces need motivated servicemen. We are confident that the opportunity to change the place of service and unit affects the effectiveness of the military. This will help them serve where they want. Thanks to the survey, we will be able to improve the transfer process so that the place of service can be changed more easily and without unnecessary bureaucracy,” explained the need for the new survey Kateryna Chernohorenko, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine for Digitalization.

The survey will last until November 10 and will include 12 questions. The main questions will be:

– current service status, duties, and experience of the military;

– reasons for wanting to change units, for example, the desire to be transferred to the front line or to the rear, or to change commanders.

The Ministry of Defense assured that the depersonalized results will have a direct impact on the algorithm for transferring servicemen, which is expected to be improved by a large part of the military.

As a reminder, the survey functionality was introduced in the Army app in early August. Since then, more than 36,000 servicemen and women have taken part in three initiated polls, expressing their opinions on topical issues.

The first survey was about online military education

From August 8 to 15, the military in the Army app had the opportunity to express their opinions on online learning and the desired areas of military studies. Most often, defenders (16%) chose unmanned systems as a priority topic for training. The survey results showed that the majority of military personnel (54%) take online courses in military affairs at least once a year. In addition, one in three respondents mentioned “online promotion” as a motivation for taking the courses.

The second survey was about the use of combat systems

About 10,000 military personnel took part in it. Users could share their experience of using combat systems. The questions included which systems were preferred, what they liked about them, and what they would like to see improved.

The DELTA system was then among the three most popular combat systems used by the military. The Kropyva headquarters complex and the Virage Tablet software were also among the leaders.

The third survey – on the level of satisfaction with dry rations

At the end of October, the military leadership used the Army app to find out what kind of dry rations the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine would like to receive.

Over 9,000 active servicemen and women took part in the survey over the course of two weeks. More than half of them, according to the Ministry of Defense, highly appreciated the quality of the rations: 51% gave them scores of five and four on a five-point scale. Despite this, about 25% of respondents were in favor of receiving inclusive meals. We are talking about halal, vegetarian and kosher rations. The results of this survey also showed the desire of the military to see traditional Ukrainian dishes in their rations: porridge, borscht and meat dishes, etc.
