Journalists asked Lazutkin whether the TCC really employs about 100,000 people. The Defense Ministry spokesperson denied the previously circulated data on the possible number of employees of the TCC and gave a clear answer, providing exact figures.

According to him, the TCC and the JV currently employ 36 thousand people.

“The TCC currently employs 36,000 people, of whom almost 7,000 are civilians. There are also some people among the military who are limitedly fit, quite a few of them,” Lazutkin said.

He also drew attention to the presence of women among the staff of the TCC. According to him, about 3,000 women work in recruitment centers.

“That is why the figures you mentioned are not entirely true,” emphasized Lazutkin

As reported by [Kommersant]], the Rada’s Temporary Special Commission in its latest report proposed to disband the territorial recruitment centers (TCCs) and create more than 10 brigades from their employees.

According to the proposals of the Verkhovna Rada’s temporary investigative commission, it is planned to disband the TCCs and redistribute their employees to new brigades, as well as to send some of the current military personnel to the combat zone.

It should be noted that martial law and mobilization were extended in Ukraine until February 7, 2025.

This was the 13th time the law on martial law was signed.

During a meeting of the Rada, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksandr Lytvynenko said that more than 160,000 more people needed to be mobilized.

“A total of 1,050,000 citizens were drafted into the Defense Forces. It is planned to draft more than 160,000 people. This will make it possible to staff military units up to 85%,” he said.
