The country’s first recruitment centre for the Armed Forces of Ukraine was opened in Lviv on 12 February. This was reported by the Ministry of Defence, reports
“From now on, at the Centre, you can find out all the latest information about vacancies in the army, talk to representatives of brigades and choose your desired profession in the army,”
– the statement reads.
The centre will be located at 67 Kostya Levytskoho Street.
The ministry says that such centres will be opened across the country in the future.
The Ministry of Defence emphasises that the centre has nothing to do with the TCC, and recruiters are not military personnel, so they will not issue calls, but only provide advice. They also promise to accompany future servicemen throughout the entire process until they are appointed to a position in the army.
“The army needs motivated people who consciously make their choice to serve in a particular position in a particular unit. According to opinion polls, the vast majority of Ukrainians are ready to join the defence of their homeland, provided they have a choice, take into account their experience and speciality, and understand who and where they will serve with. Recruitment is about voluntary and conscious choice. We will scale up our recruitment activities in other cities of Ukraine as much as possible,”
– said Nataliia Kalmykova, Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, during the presentation of the project.
