The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, said that the capital will start regular inspections of problematic residential areas for parking violations.

He stated this on his Telegram page, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.

According to him, during this weekend’s massive drone attack, rescuers faced the problem of access to the sites of the attack in some locations, which caused difficulties in deploying rescue operations.

Therefore, Tkachenko instructed the Department of Municipal Security and the Department of Territorial Control of the Kyiv City State Administration to ensure constant inspection of problematic residential areas

The head of the KCSA also instructed the Department of Transport Infrastructure to develop a schedule for the arrangement of anti-parking infrastructure. The Kyiv State Emergency Service will also be involved in this work. Together, they will have to determine the list of addresses and entrances to buildings where it is necessary to ensure the passage of special equipment.

Tkachenko also called on Kyiv residents to help ensure that their yards are fully accessible to emergency services.

“Don’t park your yards, report abandoned cars or vehicles that block passages. It is important not just to take this information “to heart” but to set an example of responsible civic behavior,” the official emphasized.
