Kremlin suggests other countries divide Ukraine

The director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, Sergei Naryshkin, has called for a “historical analysis” of the possibility of a territorial division of Ukraine between neighboring states.
He said this during a roundtable discussion at the Russian Historical Society, the Russian news agency Interfax reported , citing Komersant ukrainskyi.
Naryshkin claims that Ukraine is currently experiencing a “collapse of statehood.”
“Under these conditions, there are opinions that as a result of the inevitable collapse of Ukraine, its lands will inevitably go to neighboring states,” Naryshkin said.
According to the head of Russian intelligence, Poland is the most consistent claimant to the territory of modern Ukraine.
“Now it is looking at Lviv, and not without reason,” said the director of the Foreign Intelligence Service.
Over the past decades, Poland has never officially declared its interest in annexing Ukrainian territories, including Lviv or Ukrainian Galicia in general.
Naryshkin made a similar statement recently. He said that Russia should discuss “historical rights” to Ukrainian lands with other countries. The Kremlin henchman named Poland, Hungary, and Slovakia among the participants in this “discussion.”
It should be noted that the United States wants both sides of the conflict to make concessions. Donald Trump believes it is possible for Ukraine to return part of the occupied territories, but not the 2014 borders.
In turn, President Zelenskyy has repeatedly stated that Ukraine will never legally recognize the occupied territories as Russian. At the same time, the head of state allowed for the return of these lands in the future through diplomatic means. Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine’s membership in NATO is actually a guarantee of security for Russia, a guarantee that Kyiv will not return the territories seized by the enemy by military means.
