“Today, pursuant to the order of the President of Ukraine, we are making an important decision to support our teachers. Starting January 1, 2025, we will introduce a monthly “teacher’s supplement” to teachers’ salaries in the amount of UAH 1,000 “in hand,” he said.

Oksen Lisovyi clarified that next year teachers will receive allowances in the amount of :

  • uAH 1000 – from January 1, 2025 (UAH 1300 before taxes),
  • uAH 2000 – from September 1, 2025 (UAH 2600 before taxes).

“I understand that this decision does not solve all the problems that exist today with teachers’ salaries, but it is the first step to changing the situation even in the context of martial law and budget deficit,” Lisovyi wrote.

Today, the minimum salary of a teacher in Ukraine is between 10.7 and 15.1 thousand hryvnias. It all depends on seniority and category.
