Digital romance: “Diia Launches Single Certificate for Valentine’s Day

14 February 11:50

Today, February 14, on Valentine’s Day, the Ministry of Digital Transformation made a surprise for everyone who hasn’t found their soul mate yet. From now on, the Diia app will allow you to get a single certificate, Komersant ukrainskyi reports

New status in Diia: officially single

While digital documents used to confirm identity, citizenship, or even property rights, Diia now adds another important status: free heart.

The new document receives data directly from the registry office and confirms that you are not officially married.

Diia explained that the document has no legal force, but only “romanticizes the search for each other in these turbulent times.”

How to get and use the Certificate of Single Person

You can get the Certificate in a few clicks:

  • Update the Diia app.
  • Upload the best photo.
  • Choose the style of the document.
  • Add your interests and preferences.

Now you can share the Certificate on social media to declare your status and possibly find love. You can also exchange QR codes in Diia to create romantic pictures together.

“If you find a match, exchange QR codes in Diia and share a picture of love from the app on social media,” the telegram channel said.

What does this certificate confirm?

Despite its unofficial nature, the Single Certificate symbolically confirms two important facts:

  • Your heart and ring finger are currently free.
  • You are open to new relationships.
  • It’s a great way to take the first step and declare yourself to the world.

Is online marriage the next step?

And if someone soon proposes to you in Diia, the Single Certificate will automatically change to the Engaged Certificate.

Digital romance from the Ministry of Digital Transformation and partners

This service was made possible thanks to the cooperation of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the Ministry of Justice and the State Enterprise “NAIS”.

“We digitize and romanticize for Ukrainians of all genders, religions, and natal charts,” Diia jokes.
