Gold prices have risen to a historic high, above the level of USD 2,950 per ounce.
This was reported by Reuters, according to Komersant ukrainskyi.
As of Thursday morning, the spot price of gold reached USD 2,954.69 at the beginning of the session. This figure was a record in 2025. Gold futures in the United States rose 1.2% to $2,970.70.
Overall, gold is up 12% this year.
Meanwhile, the spot price of silver rose by 0.9% to USD 33 per ounce. Platinum rose 0.3% to $974.85, and palladium rose 1.4% to $981.70.
It is noted that metal prices are rising due to fears that US President Donald Trump’s threats to impose duties will unleash a global trade war, which will spur investor appetite for metals.
