This winter, the state will additionally support vulnerable children

As part of the Warm Winter project, certain categories of children will receive financial assistance from the state. This was announced by the Head of the State Service of Ukraine for Children Petro Dobromilsky, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.
In particular, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has introduced a one-time payment of UAH 6,500:
- children from low-income families;
- children and persons with disabilities of group I from among internally displaced persons.
The purpose of the payment is to support families through the winter period of 2024/2025. For details, please contact the structural units for social protection of the population.
The assistance will be assigned automatically through digital data exchange between state registers. There is no need to apply additionally – the funds will be transferred directly to the recipient’s bank account.
In addition, such assistance is not included in the average monthly total family income. The money will be available until December 2024.
It should be noted that the CMU resolution stipulates that the one-time assistance is provided to cover the winter period of 2024/25, but no restrictions on the use of funds are specified. Therefore, each family independently determines how to spend the one-time financial assistance.
