Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and French President Emmanuel Macron supported Ukraine after its leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy quarreled with Donald Trump.
Thus, Tusk wrote on his page in X: “Dear Volodymyr Zelenskyy, dear Ukrainian friends, you are not alone.”
Macron, in turn, emphasized: “Russia is the aggressor, Ukraine is the victim, we must respect those who have been at war from the beginning,” Le Figaro writes .
Zelenskyy was also supported by other European and American politicians. In particular, Democratic Senator Adam Schiff wrote: “Today, a hero and a coward are meeting in the Oval Office. And when the meeting is over, the hero will return home to Ukraine.”
The head of the German delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and deputy head of the CDU faction in the Bundestag, Johann Wadeful , called Trump’s attitude to Zelenskyy a “stab in the back” and emphasized: “Free Europe will not betray Ukraine!”
The leader of the Senate Democrats also spoke in support of Zelenskyy, saying that Trump and Vance were “doing Putin’s dirty work.”
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez wrote on his Facebook page: “Ukraine, Spain is with you.”
And former European Parliament President Josep Borrell said that Trump and Vance put on a shameful show: “I am ashamed of this behavior. The United States deserves something better.”
Sweden also supported Zelenskyy. Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson said: “Sweden supports Ukraine. You are fighting not only for your freedom, but for the whole of Europe. Glory to Ukraine!”
As a reminder, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy argued with his American counterpart Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance over the Russian-Ukrainian war.
First, Vance said that the war between Russia and Ukraine should be resolved through diplomacy. In response, the Ukrainian president said that he had already signed an agreement with Putin in the presence of the French president and the German chancellor.
Zelenskyy also said that if a bad deal is signed between Russia and Ukraine, the United States will “feel it.” Vance and Trump were outraged and replied that they would “feel great” and added that Zelenskyy had no right to impose his opinion.
