Donald Trump has been sworn in as the 47th president of the United States. This was reported by Komersant ukrainskyi on January 20, citing American media that covered the event.

The politician traditionally swore an oath to faithfully fulfill the duties of the presidency and defend the US Constitution.

The inauguration was attended by Joe Biden, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama. Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, and Sam Altman were also present.

What Donald Trump said in his inauguration speech

“America’s golden age begins today with this day. Our country will continue to prosper. We will be the envy of all nations and countries. Every day, the administration and I will always put America first,” Trump said as the 47th president of the country.

He also emphasized that he and his team would focus on protecting the US borders.

In addition, Donald Trump recalled the assassination attempt that he suffered during the presidential race. The US leader believes that he survived a critical situation in order to restore greatness to his country.

In his speech, the US President also announced the cancellation of the Climate Agreement and the return of the military, who were dismissed for not complying with the COVID-19 vaccination policy.

Donald Trump also said the following:

  • I will ban censorship and bring freedom of speech back to America.
  • Instead of taxing US citizens, tariffs and taxes will be imposed on foreign countries to enrich their own citizens.
  • We will recognize drug cartels as international terrorist organizations.
  • I will be the man who establishes world peace. We will end wars, even those we have not entered.
  • I will implement programs of enhanced drilling. America will become a producing country again. We have huge oil and gas reserves, and we are using them.
  • From now on, there are only two genders in the United States: male and female.
  • The Gulf of Mexico will become the American Gulf. We will take back the Panama Canal.
  • I want to stop illegal immigrants who have come to us from psychiatric hospitals and prisons from all over the world.
  • American astronauts will plant our flag on Mars.
  • We will build the largest armed forces in the world.

It is worth noting that the White House website has already updated its home page with a photo of Trump with the caption “America is back.”

It is also worth noting that for the first time since the 1890s, a president who was defeated in an election has won and taken the oath of office for the second time. Before Trump, only Grover Cleveland managed to do this in the late nineteenth century.
