Trump and Musk made tough statements against each other

6 June 01:21

Once allies, now public opponents. Billionaire Elon Musk and U.S. President Donald Trump started a war of words that quickly went beyond discreet comments. The reason for the conflict was Trump’s new economic plan, in particular his tax and spending bill. [ Kommersant has gathered everything known about the scandal between Elon Musk and Donald Trump.

Elon Musk, the owner of Tesla and SpaceX , immediately launched a scathing criticism of one of President Donald Trump’s favorite initiatives after he quit his job with the US government.

Musk wrote that the bill voted by the House of Representatives to cut taxes and increase funding for the army and the immigration service is a “huge, outrageous, corrupt, wasteful, disgusting abomination.”

In another post, he added that the law “will significantly increase the already huge budget deficit to $2.5 trillion and saddle American citizens with unsustainable debt.”

In response to Elon Musk’s criticism of his law, Donald Trump told reporters:

“I’ve always liked Elon… You saw what he had to say to me… He didn’t say anything bad about me. I would rather have him criticize me than the bill, because the bill is incredible.”

He went on to say that he and Musk had a “great relationship,” but he was not sure if it would continue.

However, the words of the American president did not stop the billionaire. He intensified his attacks on Donald Trump on the X network, saying:

“Without me, Trump would have lost the election, the Democrats would have controlled the House of Representatives, and the Republicans would have had 51 votes to 49 in the Senate.”

At the same time, Musk accused Trump of “ingratitude.”

The next attack on the US president was a subtle hint at Musk’s possible return to politics, but not as an ally of Trump, but as his possible opponent.

He published a poll on the X network: “Is it time to create a new political party in America that actually represents 80% of the middle class?”

Donald Trump decided to put a full stop to this controversy by calling Musk a lunatic on his social network Truth Social.

According to the president, Elon was “on the brink,” after which he “asked him to leave, took away the quotas for electric cars that obliged everyone to buy these cars that no one wanted.”

“And he just went crazy!” Trump declared.

Donald Trump is in the Epstein files

Musk continued his confrontation with Trump.

“It’s time to drop a really big bomb: Donald Trump is in the Epstein files,” Musk wrote.

In his opinion, this is the real reason why the Epstein files have not been made public.

What is known about Epstein’s case

Epstein was arrested on July 6, 2019, at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey, where he had arrived from Paris on a private jet, on suspicion of human trafficking for sexual exploitation.

According to the prosecution, in 2002-2005, the billionaire invited girls, the youngest of whom was 14 years old, to his homes in Florida and Manhattan in New York. According to the prosecution, he paid the girls hundreds of dollars for sexual services.

Epstein himself denied all charges and insisted that the meetings were consensual and he was sure that the girls were of legal age. Epstein was denied bail.

Epstein’s detention led to the resignation of US Secretary of Labor Alexander Acosta.

In 2007, Epstein faced similar charges in Florida, where Acosta worked as a federal prosecutor. The case then ended with a pre-trial agreement between the prosecutor’s office and Epstein.

The American financier Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide in the Metropolitan Correctional Center prison in New York on August 10, 2019.

As a reminder, the President of the United States of America Donald Trump said that the Department of Government Effectiveness (DOGE), headed by billionaire Elon Musk, will cease to exist at “some point”.

Elon Musk is the world’s biggest victim of Trump’s trade wars

reported that Elon Musk was the world’s biggest victim of Trump’s trade wars. As of the beginning of March, his wealth has decreased by $116 billion since the record high of $464 billion recorded on December 17, when Tesla shares reached a historic high of $480 per share.

However, after that, Tesla began to lose ground in the market: on Tuesday, its shares closed at $272, the lowest level since the US election day.

The reason for Tesla’s fall was the overall negative dynamics of the stock market: the S&P 500 index fell by more than 1%, updating its annual low. This happened after the Trump administration imposed new tariffs on Canada, China, and Mexico.

However, it is likely that Musk is much more astute, and thanks to US government contracts, this temporary drop will turn into another rise to trillion-dollar figures.

Elon Musk is a visionary entrepreneur and a fan of Russia

Elon Musk is one of the most influential entrepreneurs of our time, the founder and CEO of many innovative companies such as Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink, and Boring Company. He was born on June 28, 1971 in Pretoria, South Africa. After moving to the United States, he became a pioneer in the field of electric vehicles, space technology, and artificial intelligence. Musk is often in the spotlight for his ambitious goals, including the colonization of Mars, the development of renewable energy, and the creation of neurocomputer interfaces.

Musk is also known for his active stance on social media, where he often posts controversial statements. In 2022, he acquired the Twitter platform, which he later renamed X. Musk takes a libertarian position on Internet regulation and freedom of speech, opposing government interference in the activities of tech giants.

Musk plays a prominent role in the context of the Russian-Ukrainian war. His company SpaceX provides the Ukrainian Armed Forces with access to the Starlink satellite Internet, which has provided critical communications at the front. However, some of his public statements have caused outrage among Ukrainians and the international community. For example, Musk has proposed “peace initiatives” that included territorial concessions to Ukraine, which was perceived as support for the Kremlin’s narrative. Recently, Elon Musk was accused of secret contacts with Putin, and he ridiculed Zelenskyy’s statement about Ukraine’s independence.
