Ukrainian officials filed 1,428 declarations with cryptocurrency assets in 2022. Bitcoin, Ethereum and Tether are in the greatest demand, according to citing the digital service for analysing government data, Opendatabot.
The number of declarations mentioning cryptocurrencies continues to grow from year to year, and this trend has not changed in 2022. In total, Ukrainian officials filed 1428 declarations in 2022 that included cryptocurrency assets. This is almost twice as many as in the previous year, when cryptocurrencies were mentioned in 788 declarations.
In the 2021 declarations, the most popular cryptocurrencies among Ukrainian officials were Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Ripple (XRP), and others. In 2022, the top positions did not change radically: the demand for Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) remained the same, and Tether (USDT) joined the top three.

The declarants submit their assets both in hryvnia equivalent and simply indicating the number of cryptocurrency units in their possession.
Earlier, the NABU and the SAPO notified a current member of the Ukrainian parliament of suspicion of entering false information in his 2020 electronic declaration. In 2020, he declared cryptocurrency with a market value of over UAH 24 million.
