TOP-10 most profitable companies in Kyiv: the leader earned UAH 215 billion

Kyiv continues to strengthen its position as the business capital of Ukraine. According to the Opendatabot 2025 Index, 61.4% of the top 210 companies in Ukraine are registered in Kyiv. The rating of the largest Kyiv-based companies by turnover is headed by D.Trading with UAH 215.8 billion. This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to data from Opendatabot.
Kyiv dominates in the Opendatabot Index
“The Opendatabot Index is an annual ranking that has been determining the top 210 companies in Ukraine in terms of financial performance since 2023.
The share of Kyiv-based companies in the Index has been growing for the third year in a row. While in 2023 there were 124 of them (59% of the total number of companies), in 2025 there were already 129, or 61.4%.
This indicates an increasing concentration of successful businesses in the capital.
The leader of the rating among Kyiv companies is D.Trading, which earned UAH 215.8 billion in 2024. The company holds the top spot due to its stable growth and key role in the energy sector. The top 10 also includes such giants as Energoatom, Naftogaz of Ukraine, and Privatbank, which demonstrate a significant contribution to the city and country’s economy.
Top 10 Kyiv companies by revenue in 2025
The composition of the top ten Kyiv companies in 2025 remained unchanged compared to 2024, but there were changes compared to 2023. For example, Ukrzaliznytsia moved up to seventh place, while Kernel-Trade dropped out of the top.

- Ukrzaliznytsia – UAH 102.87 billion
- Ukrenergo – UAH 101.12 billion
- Ukrgasvydobuvannya – UAH 100.6 billion
- Silpo-Food – UAH 93.02 billion.
These companies represent key sectors of the economy: energy, banking, transportation, and trade. Their total revenue exceeds UAH 1.2 trillion, which emphasizes the importance of the capital’s business for the Ukrainian economy.
The most popular industries of Kyiv companies
According to the Opendatabot Index 2025, Kyiv companies included in the ranking most often operate in the following sectors
- Telecommunications: 10 companies. This industry remains one of the most dynamic due to the development of digital technologies and demand for communication.
- Banking: 10 companies, including PrivatBank, which ranks fifth in the top 10.
- Gambling: 10 companies, reflecting the growth of legal gambling in Ukraine.
- Television, radio and book publishing: 9 companies that are actively developing in the media space.
- Professional, scientific and technical activities: 9 companies that entered the top five for the first time, replacing the transportation and postal segment that was popular in 2023.
The growth in the share of companies in the professional and scientific activities sector indicates the demand for innovative and technological services in the capital. At the same time, the transportation and postal sector’s exit from the top 5 may be due to logistical challenges due to the war.
