The Ministry of Justice initiated the process of nationalization of Boguslaev’s assets

The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine initiated the process of nationalizing the assets of the ex-head of Motor Sich Vyacheslav Boguslaev and the former top manager of the company Petro Kononenko, filed a lawsuit with the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court on January 22. This information was released by the department’s press service, reports
“On January 22, 2024, the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine filed a statement of claim with the High Anti-Corruption Court for the application of the sanction provided for in paragraph 11 of part 1 of Article 4 of the Law of Ukraine “On Sanctions” against Vyacheslav Aleksandrovich Boguslaev and Petr Ivanovich Kononenko,” the message says.
According to the Ministry of Justice, the claim requires the transfer into state ownership of many assets belonging to these persons and related to the business:
- more than 30 real estate objects (including residential and commercial premises, and land plots);
- financial resources;
- corporate shares in more than ten companies, including full ownership in such enterprises as ODO SK “MOTOR-GARANT”, LLC “Vinnitsa Aviation Plant” and LLC “SME Helicopters”, as well as shares in LLC FIRM “ZHEKON”;
- ownership of trademarks, patents, and industrial designs;
- firearms.
What is the ex-head of Motor Sich Vyacheslav Boguslaev suspected of?
Boguslaev was detained by the Security Service of Ukraine in October 2022, together with the head of the company’s foreign economic activity department.
Charges have been brought against him for providing assistance to an aggressor country, carrying out collaborationist activities, supporting terrorist organizations, and, according to the latest data, resistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Boguslaev’s arrest is connected with suspicion of cooperation with Russia and the illegal export of Ukrainian engines for Russian military helicopters through intermediaries in third countries.
It was discovered that he had Russian citizenship since 2000 and owned real estate in Moscow.
In October 2023, the court case of the former head of Motor Sich Vyacheslav Boguslaev was transferred to court, and his assets worth 12 billion hryvnia were arrested.
