The Austrian petrol station chain AMIC ENERGY and the Dignitas charity foundation have announced the launch of MAVIC by AMIC 3.0 The aim of the initiative is to provide the military with 50 DJI MAVIC 3T (Thermal) drones, which allow them to detect enemy targets at night and in low visibility conditions.
“At a critical time for Ukraine, we understand that the effective use of modern technology on the battlefield can be crucial. MAVIC 3T drones with thermal imaging cameras are essential for successful reconnaissance operations at night and in low visibility conditions. We are sincerely grateful to our customers for their support, which allows us to continue to help the Ukrainian Armed Forces and bring victory closer,” said Günter Mayer, Managing Director and Shareholder of AMIC ENERGY.
The importance of having reconnaissance drones was also highlighted by the military in a video message.
AMIC ENERGY has already financed more than UAH 17 million and successfully delivered 200 reconnaissance drones to more than 110 military units of the Security and Defence Forces. You can support the project by filling up with petrol or diesel fuel at all AMIC ENERGY filling stations, and the company will transfer UAH 5 from each customer’s receipt to purchase drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“It is impossible to overestimate the importance of Mavic 3T night vision drones for saving lives at the frontline,” says Lyuba Shipovich, director of the Dignitas Charitable Foundation. “After all, they serve as the eyes of the military at night or in poor visibility conditions, observing enemy assaults and artillery fire from the sky and helping to direct defensive actions accordingly. Without visibility from the sky, hundreds and hundreds of military lives are lost, when one such drone saves the lives of an entire unit from the enemy’s insidious actions under the cover of night.”
