Forecasters predict a warm April 2025: what to expect from the weather

In Ukraine, the average monthly air temperature in April is expected to be between 10 and 13 degrees Celsius. This is 1.5-2.0 degrees above normal. This is reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, Komersant ukrainskyi informs

Climatic characteristics of April: normal and extreme values

Usually, the average temperature in April in Ukraine ranges from 7-11°C, and in mountainous areas it is 2-6°C.

However, historically, April has seen both severe frosts and abnormal heat:

Absolute minimum temperature: -6…-16°C, in the Carpathians, Chernihiv, Sumy and Kharkiv regions – -17…-22°C.

Absolute maximum temperature: 26-33°C, and in the mountains – 21-22°C.

Average rainfall per month: 22-62 mm, in the Carpathians – 102-117 mm.

Weather forecast for April 2025: warmer spring is expected

According to meteorologists, in April 2025, we should expect warm weather, which will exceed the norm by 1.5-2°C.

Main forecasts:

• The average temperature of the month will be 10-13°C warm, in mountainous areas 6-9°C.
• The amount of precipitation will be 30-52 mm, in the Carpathians – 60-89 mm, which corresponds to the climatic norm.
