Strong wind and rain: weather forecast for December 17

Today, on December 17, Ukraine will be in the midst of atmospheric fronts, so rains are expected, with sleet in the northeast. This was reported by weather forecaster Natalia Didenko, Komersant ukrainskyi reports
“Strong winds will persist, from the west and northwest, with gusts reaching 17-22, sometimes up to 25 meters per second. The air temperature is expected to be within 4-9 degrees throughout the day, 7-12 degrees in the south, and 0-4 degrees in the northeast,” the post says.
In Kyiv on Tuesday, December 17, it will be windy, with wind gusts of up to 15-20 meters per second, and rain. During the day, the temperature will be 5… 7 degrees.
On Wednesday through Thursday, there will be less precipitation, and the wind will decrease on Thursday. The temperature will drop on Sunday.
According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, on December 17, Ukraine will be covered with clouds that will bring precipitation of various kinds. Moderate rains are expected in many regions, while sleet is forecast in the Carpathians, the east and northeast of the country. In the southern regions, precipitation will be less intense, with light rain possible in some places.
The wind will prevail from the west at a speed of 7-12 m/s, but gusts of up to 15-20 m/s are expected almost throughout the country, except for Transcarpathia.
The air temperature at night will fluctuate between 0-5° Celsius. In the daytime, the temperature will rise to 3-8° Celsius, and in the southern regions of Ukraine it will be even warmer – from 7 to 12°.
