Court confiscates property of pro-Russian TV host Yuriy Kot
26 December 12:45The High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine has ruled in favor of the Ministry of Justice, upholding their claim to impose sanctions against former Ukrainian TV presenter Yuriy Kot on the basis of the Law of Ukraine “On Sanctions”. This was reported by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, Komersant ukrainskyi reports
According to the court’s decision, the following assets of Kot are to be recovered to the state: four land plots in Zhytomyr region, three firearms, and a SKODA OCTAVIA ELEGANCE car.
“In addition, property rights to seven television projects are subject to confiscation. The court also ruled to confiscate 59% of the share in the authorized capital of Zolota Fishka LLC and money placed in accounts with a commercial bank,” the statement said.
The court’s decision may be appealed to the HACC Appeals Chamber within five days of its announcement. The right to appeal belongs to the parties to the case or their representatives.
Yuriy Kot, who currently resides in Moscow, is known for his pro-Russian beliefs and active cooperation with Russian media, where he regularly spreads anti-Ukrainian propaganda. He is also a member of the anti-Ukrainian associations “Immortal Regiment of Ukraine” and “Committee for the Salvation of Ukraine”.
The traitor Yuriy Kot has been living in Russia since 2014.
When Russia launched a full-scale invasion, the scandalous host began to play along with Russian propaganda more. He created a Telegram channel where he glorifies the crimes of the occupiers on Ukrainian lands, spreads fakes about the war and actively supports Russia.
For this position, Yuriy Kot was suspected of treason in 2022. According to the article, which was opened against the host, he faces up to 15 years in prison.
