Court seizes Tsarev’s property worth half a billion hryvnias (photo)

Based on the SBU materials, the court seized the property of former MP Oleh Tsarev, who is involved in financing Russia’s armed aggression, the citing the SBU press centre .

The property in question is an apartment in the central part of Dnipro, a land plot in Kyiv region, and two property complexes in the temporarily occupied Crimea. In particular, it concerns the Kirova sanatorium and the Princess Baryatynska Estate museum, where Tsarev currently lives.

The total value of the seized property is almost half a billion hryvnias.

It is noted that the blocking of Tsarev’s assets will prevent their re-registration to front men to avoid further confiscation of property.

According to the investigation, after the seizure of Crimea, Tsarev re-registered his sanatorium in accordance with Russian law. Thus, he regularly pays money to the budget of the aggressor country in the form of “taxes”.

In addition, Tsarev entered into an agreement with a unit of the Russian Guard for the installation and maintenance of technical security equipment at two Crimean facilities.

Based on the evidence collected, SBU investigators served Tsarev with a notice of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 110-2 of the Criminal Code (financing of actions taken to change the boundaries of the territory or state border of Ukraine ).

Earlier, the SBU classified his actions under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code (high treason committed under martial law).

Comprehensive measures are being taken to bring him to justice for his crimes against Ukraine.

Who is Oleg Tsarev?

Oleg Anatolievich Tsarev is a former Ukrainian businessman, collaborator, pro-Russian politician and separatist. He is hiding in Russia from the investigation conducted by the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine on charges of treason for collaborating with Russia.

Member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the IV-VII convocations, member of the Party of Regions faction.

In May 2022, the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv sentenced Oleg Tsarev to 12 years in prison in absentia. Tsarev was found guilty of public calls for separatism. The court also found the former MP guilty of public calls for the violent change and overthrow of the constitutional order through the media.

on 14 November 2023, Oleg Tsarev was served with a new suspicion of financing the Russian Guard.
