President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a decree enacting the decision of the National Security and Defense Council to deprive individuals who committed high treason of state awards.

The list includes 34 people, including former government officials, members of parliament, heads of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Prosecutor General’s Office, prosecutors, artists, and Russian political, religious, and cultural figures. All of them are deprived of their awards indefinitely.

Politicians, officials and bureaucrats

  1. Oleksandr Yefremov is a former first deputy leader of the Party of Regions and head of its faction. He received the Order of Merit of the I-III degrees and the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise of the V degree.
  2. Vitaliy Zakharchenko – former Minister of Internal Affairs, suspected of crimes against humanity during Euromaidan.
  3. Vadym Kolesnichenko – former Member of Parliament of Ukraine, openly supported pro-Russian policies and the annexation of Crimea.
  4. Renat Kuzmin is a former First Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine. He was awarded the Order of Merit of the II-III degrees and the title of Honored Lawyer of Ukraine.
  5. Konstantin Kulyk is a former military prosecutor of Ukraine, a subject of numerous investigations.
  6. Valentyn Landyk is a former Member of Parliament involved in corruption scandals.
  7. Volodymyr Oliynyk – former MP, openly supported Russian aggression.
  8. Vadym Rabinovych – former member of the Ukrainian parliament, citizen of Israel, known for his pro-Russian views.
  9. Serhiy Tulub – former head of the Cherkasy Regional State Administration.
  10. Oleksandr Yakymenko – former head of the Security Service of Ukraine.

  14. Boris Gryzlov – Russian politician and cultural figure, subject to sanctions.
  15. Andrii Derkach is a former MP of the III-IX convocations. He was awarded the Order of Merit of the III degree.
  16. Viktor Zakharchenko – former head of the “DPR”, killed in 2018, included due to posthumous deprivation of awards.
