11 December 11:38Former MP Alyona Shkrum, who has become First Deputy Minister of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, has told us what areas she will work in the ministry. She wrote about this on her Facebook page, according to Komersant ukrainskyi.
According to the newly appointed official, she has been in office since the beginning of this week and has already faced new challenges in project management, people management, and systematizing a large number of urgent tasks at the same time.
At the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, Shkrum will oversee two areas:
- international cooperation and European integration;
- investment projects with a focus on energy efficiency.
“The Ministry of Communities and Territories Development is the largest ministry in the history of Ukraine in terms of the policies it develops and the areas it is responsible for. It is also the largest ministry in terms of its portfolio of international projects, aid, investments, reconstruction of our country, and other programs: from protecting critical infrastructure to rebuilding. So this is a very difficult challenge for me,”
– shkrum wrote.
According to the official, during the full-scale war, she was most involved in international cooperation, parliamentary diplomacy, and attracting donors for Ukraine’s recovery projects. Therefore, Shkrum is convinced that she will cope with the challenges and be effective.
