Before Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the allies did not believe that the country would last long and demanded that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy write a will just in case. This was reported by former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba in the USA-UA project: Secret Files of the White House, reports "Komersant Ukrainian".

“One person, a great friend of Ukraine, sent me a message, and when I said that I was coming back, he said: “We need Zelensky to record a video testament – just in case, let him keep it,” Kuleba said.

The diplomat also recalled that he himself was not advised to return to Kyiv in February 2022, when he was on business abroad.

Kuleba added that before the full-scale invasion, the US president was told at briefings that Ukraine would last a maximum of seven days.

In addition, the former foreign minister said that at a security conference in Munich, US Vice President Kamala Harris recommended that Zelenskyy consider military steps to prepare Ukraine for guerrilla warfare.
