US special envoy Keith Kellogg has responded to Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev’s threat of World War III, calling his statement “reckless,” "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
As a reminder, Medvedev, in response to Trump’s criticism of Kremlin President Putin, said that “there is one really bad thing – World War III.”
“As for Trump’s words that Putin is ‘playing with fire’ and that ‘really bad things are happening to Russia,’ I know of only one really bad thing – World War III. I hope Trump realizes that!” the Russian official threatened the US president.

Kellogg called the comment of the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council on World War III “reckless”
“Inciting fear of World War III is an unfortunate, reckless comment by Medvedev that does not meet the requirements of a world power,” he said.
Kellogg added that US President Donald Trump is working to “stop this war and stop the killing.”
He also noted that the United States expects to receive the “memorandum” (on a ceasefire – ed.) promised by Russia.
The US special envoy called on Russia to “cease fire now.”

Trump’s statements came after Russia has been massively shelling Ukraine with drones and missiles for several days in a row.
Earlier , Trump said that Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin had “gone completely insane.” He added that if he decides to seize the whole of Ukraine, then Russia will collapse.
“I’ve always had a very good relationship with Vladimir Putin from Russia, but something happened to him. He has become absolutely insane! He’s killing a lot of people unnecessarily, and I’m not just talking about soldiers. Missiles and drones are being launched at cities in Ukraine for no reason. I’ve always said that he wants to get all of Ukraine, not just part of it, and maybe it will turn out to be true, but if he does, it will lead to the collapse of Russia,” he wrote.
