The administration of new US President Donald Trump may convene a conference on the war in Ukraine. This is reported by [Kommersant] with reference to the material of The Telegraph.
According to the newspaper, the timing of the talks depends on the readiness of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian leader Vladimir Putin to engage in dialogue, as well as on the agreement on key issues such as the presidency, agenda, and venue.
The situation may also be affected by Russia’s behavior. In particular, the international community was outraged by the recent incident with the downing of an Azerbaijani plane, which once again demonstrated the unscrupulousness of the current government in Russia.
The publication also states that the United States will play a central role in any negotiations, regardless of whether they are officially proposed by Trump or not.
