Electricity consumption in Ukraine remains high, but there are no restrictions
15 November 13:49Today, November 15, as of 9:30 a.m., electricity consumption, although maintained at a high level, was 1.6% lower than at the same time the previous day – Thursday, November 14. This was reported by Ukrenergo, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.
Yesterday, November 14, the daily maximum consumption was reportedly recorded in the morning. It was 3.3% higher than the previous day, on Wednesday, November 13.
Ukrenergo reiterated that the Ukrainian power system is still recovering from nine massive Russian attacks. Emergency and scheduled repairs are underway at power facilities. During the peak consumption hours in the morning and evening, the power grid remains in a significant power deficit.
Ukrainians have traditionally been urged to consume electricity sparingly throughout the day, and not to turn on several powerful electrical appliances at the same time from 7:00 to 22:00.
It is also reported that imports will take place throughout the day from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, and Moldova. The total volume is 2,422 MWh, with a maximum capacity of up to 288 MW in some hours.
Businesses were urged to import electricity more actively for their own needs to avoid forced capacity constraints.
