Air temperatures are expected to rise in Ukraine from Wednesday, 21 August. In some regions, the heat will reach 37. This was reported by weather forecaster Natalia Didenko, Komersant ukrainskyi reports
on 21 August, the temperature is expected to reach 30-35 degrees in most regions of Ukraine, and 35-37 degrees in some places (except for the western regions). Dry weather will prevail – an anticyclone – and the map below shows that the letter H is over Ukraine, which means high atmospheric pressure. However, that yellow branch to the west, the line of convergence, may cause localised stormy rains over the western part of Ukraine on Thursday,” the forecaster said.
According to Didenko, dry and hot weather is also expected in Kyiv. The air temperature in the capital will reach 35.
Didenko noted that the heat will only partially leave the northern and western regions in the coming days.
“On 22-23 August, the heat will ease somewhat in the north of Ukraine, in the western regions and partially in the centre. The east and south will remain in the hot status quo. Until the end of August, there will still be enough heat in Ukraine, with the nearest tangible decrease in heat expected around 28 August,” the forecast says.
